The Royal Game of Ur was played over 4,500 years ago in the Sumerian city of Ur (Ur of Chaldeans in the Bible), especially by royal and wealthy Mesopotamians. This version is modeled after the games discovered by British Archaeologist Sir Leonard Wooley in the 1920s. The ancient game of Ur evolve into modern-day draughts and checkers.
